After working in Canada for six or so months, Shane again returned to Perth, and worked at the Sail & Anchor Pub in Fremantle, and Embers Fine Foods in Gooseberry Hill before launching his own boutique catering company Voodoo Moon.
Voodoo Moon also retailed a range of high end hot sauces and chutneys, and Shane and his Dad Tony could often be found at community fairs and festivals running his Voodoo Moon stall. During this time Shane also ran cooking classes at the Barbecues Galore chain of stores throughout the Perth suburbs.
