Chef Shane Pinnegar provides simply great food to The Goldfields region of Western Australia.
Based in the gold mining town of Kalgoorlie since 2020, Shane has been a chef for over a quarter of a century, initially training in his hometown of Perth before working in England, France, Greece and Canada, as well as Cairns on Australia’s East Coast.
Shane has worked in a multitude of venues from hotels, cafes, pubs and outside caterers, including prestigious venues such as The London Hilton Hotel on Park Lane; Fortnum & Mason’s Department Store in London; Selene Restaurant on the Greek island of Santorini; The Brass Monkey Brasserie in Perth, WA; The Sportman’s Inn in Killarney, Canada; Ocean Spirit Cruises in Cairns taking tourists to snorkel on the Great Barrier Reef; and ran his own Voodoo Moon and Voodoo To You catering in Perth for some sixteen years, catering many hundreds of events and feeding thousands of satisfied guests, whilst also manufacturing a top-end range of deluxe hot sauces and chutneys.
Shane’s food philosophy is simple: good quality produce, creative ideas, clean flavours, prepared by hand as much as possible, and ensuring you, the client, have a successful and memorable event for all the right reasons.
